Content Policy

The rules governing what can and cannot be posted on the platform.

Scored is an open platform. Communities on the platform may not be as open.

Every community has its own culture and rules, set and enforced by its moderators. What is acceptable in one community may not be acceptable in another. It is your responsibility to understand the rules of a community before participating in it.

Disregarding community rules is not merely a community issue - it is a violation of platform policy.

Platform-wide rules

The following subset of rules apply everywhere, regardless of community, and with no exceptions.

  • Follow the law. Content which violates U.S. federal, state, or local law is not permitted, and you are responsible for complying with the laws of your own jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, illegal harassment, unlawful threats, and incitement to lawless action as defined by Brandenburg v. Ohio.
  • Keep politics and social issues in communities designated as political. If a community is not tagged as political, political content is not permitted there.
  • Do not share private information about others without their consent.
  • Do not impersonate individuals or entities in a deceptive manner.
  • Do not post spam.
  • Do not post content which sexualizes minors.

App store surfaces

For the avoidance of doubt, and regardless of what is covered elsewhere in this document, the following is explicitly disallowed when posting from an app store surface.

  • Illegal content.
  • Nudity or sexual content of any kind.
  • Graphic violence or gore.
  • Content promoting or glorifying illegal activity.
  • Harassment, hate speech, or content targeting individuals or groups.
  • Profanity in community names or descriptions.
  • Impersonation.
  • Spam.
  • Doxxing or sharing private information.
  • Content which sexualizes minors.

Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary or permanent account suspension, or removal of account privileges.

Community-specific rules are not within the scope of this document.
